Many parents who have experienced the loss of their baby during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after, find comfort in receiving the gift of an Aching Arms bear.
Each beautiful bear wears a handwritten label with the name of the baby in whose memory the bear was dedicated. The label also connects families to sources of information, support and understanding.
Many families go on to dedicate an Aching Arms bear in honour of their baby. The bear you donate will be gifted to another bereaved family which extends the arm of friendship and helps other bereaved parents to know they are not alone.
We are proud to provide Aching Arms comfort teddy bears to over 190 UK-wide NHS hospitals, hospices, funeral directors, support groups, and to families who contact us directly.
*Please donate £20 per bear.
*When prompted, please share the name of the baby in whose memory you are dedicating the bear.
*The baby's date of birth/anniversary/due date/special dates are optional.
*Please remember to tick the GIFT AID box, it boosts your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you and makes a big difference to our charity.
*If you are donating a bear in memory of someone else's baby, please ensure you have the parents' permission and have confirmed how they would like their baby's name to be written on the bear's label.

After you have donated, we will add your baby's name to our Bear Dedication List and, when needed, a label will be lovingly handwritten and added to an Aching Arms bear by one of our wonderful volunteers. In hospital, or at home via our postal bear service, your baby's bear will be gifted to another family to help bring them some comfort and let them know they are not alone.
Unfortunately, we are unable to share the location of each individual bear after it has been gifted but please feel assured that every bear will be bringing comfort to another family.
A small number of bear recipients choose to thank Aching Arms and the family who have gifted them a bear via Aching Arms’ dedicated, private facebook group called 'Aching Arms Bears' where bear pictures and messages can be posted. You are welcome to join our group here: Aching Arms Bears
We are able to offer a beautiful, personalised, keepsake eCard showing that you have dedicated an Aching Arms bear in your baby's name. For more details, please visit our Keepsake eCard page after you have donated your bears in memory.
We rely on voluntary donations and because of your kindness and generosity we can reach the many families who sadly need us. Thank you for choosing to support Aching Arms and for helping us to help families just like yours.
If you have a question or need help making your donation, please get in touch with us at info@achingarms.co.uk or call on 07826 067801.

These bears helped our family so much, we picked our baby girls middle name using the name on the bear we were given to honour the angle baby before her. We were given a bear for our son too so he could have something to remember Posie by. We’re so sorry for what you’re going through, please know you are not alone.

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go - Jamie Anderson
