There are many different ways to get involved, whether you take part in one of our campaigns, host your own fundraising event, or take on a sporting challenge, we will be delighted to welcome you to Team Aching Arms.
Thank you for everything you do to raise money for us. Your kindness will bring comfort to many and our work quite simply couldn’t happen without you.
If you would like to discuss your fundraising ideas or have any questions, please contact our Community and Events Fundraising Officer, Ilana Manning at email@example.com or on 07557 742825.
Taking part in Miles in Memory gave us the space and focus to honour our son, Leo. We really cherished the time – it was a new way to create memories and channel our grief.
Many families find great comfort in donating Aching Arms bears, and for them it's a special way of remembering their baby at Christmas. So, every Christmas we invite you to dedicate a bear in memory of a baby special to you.
Each soft and cuddly Aching Arms bear wears a personalised label that is lovingly handwritten with the name of the baby in whose memory the bear was dedicated. The label also connects families to sources of information, support and understanding. The bear you donate will be gifted to another bereaved family which extends the arm of friendship and helps other bereaved parents to know they are not alone.
When donating a bear this Christmas, our supporters have the option of their baby’s name being added to a heart on our beautiful ‘Holly Hearts’ graphic, which will be shared across our social media pages throughout November and December, culminating with a special holly hearts montage on Christmas Eve.

This Christmas, we will help bereaved families to feel less alone. Whether it’s the first Christmas without their baby or the 20th, we are here to offer comfort and support, and hold their hand.
To do this, we rely on voluntary donations and the wonderful warmth and generosity of our amazing donors ensures we can continue our vital care-driven work. Your kindness will bring comfort to families when they need it most.
Show your support for Aching Arms this festive season. Could you:
Be a seasonal star and ‘give it up’ to do good this festive season - donate the cost of that extra box of mince pies, chocolates, or biscuits. Donate the cost of your usual morning coffee, cuppa, or cheeky hot chocolate.
Be an Aching Arms £1 Warrior and take on our spare change challenge - gather all the spare change you have at home, in your car, on your work desk, round it up to the nearest pound and donate.
Get creative and festive in your workplace with your seasonal giving - host a Christmas jumper/festive fancy dress day, host a Christmas quiz, hold or a Christmas bake sale or festive afternoon tea with proceeds being donated to Aching Arms.

Instead of sending traditional, printed Christmas cards this year, please consider donating to Aching Arms and you will receive a beautifully festive eCard that has been exclusively designed for our supporters. There are three designs to choose from, each with five different greetings.
Customise your eCard with your own festive message and choose whether to send different messages to each eCard recipient, or the same message to everyone.
Christmas eCards are available here.
The Forget Me Not Tea Party is our annual fundraiser to bring people together and we invite you to host your very own tea party. Our tea party season runs during the spring from 1st March to 30th June 2023, however if you'd like to host a tea party outside of these dates, we would be delighted to welcome you.
Whether you choose to meet in person or host a virtual event online, a Forget Me Not Tea Party is a great way to connect and catch-up with family, friends or colleagues whilst raising vital funds for Aching Arms. Your event can be in memory of a baby special to you or to support our ongoing work.
Bake it, make it, or buy it - will you go traditional or be original when choosing your tasty tea party treats?

We understand how important it is for your baby to be remembered and how special it is to hear their name. Say Their Name is our remembrance event to create a beautiful and everlasting tribute to your much-loved babies.
Last year's event took place on Friday 14th May 2021, from the stunning surroundings of an ancient bluebell wood. Our Founder/CEO Leanne Turner started the remembrance by reading a moving poem before she said aloud each of your babies' names in turn. A video recording of the tribute has been shared on our social media platforms. It is our honour to remember your babies in this beautiful, calm, and tranquil place and it is our privilege to bring Aching Arms families together in unison for our remembrance event. Say Their Name will be back in 2023.
You can see Leanne's 2021 Say Their Name tribute here.
Aching Arms has been a registered charity for 10 years. To commemorate this significant milestone, when you donate a bear in memory of a baby special to you between 8th August and 8th October 2023, your baby’s name will be included in our special Say Their Name remembrance event, creating a beautiful and everlasting tribute to your much-loved babies.
Throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week (BLAW) from 9th to 15th October 2023, in a series of calm and tranquil short videos to be shared on our website and across our social media pages, members of the Aching Arms community will say aloud each of your babies’ names in turn.
It is an honour to be entrusted with your precious babies' names. It is a privilege to bring Aching Arms families together at a time to collectively remember our much-loved and missed babies, and to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.
Donate a bear for BLAW 2023 is now closed.
Walk, jog, run, cycle or swim to remember a baby special to you. Throughout October, in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week, we invite you join our Miles in Memory challenge to celebrate the memory of babies who have touched your lives, whilst raising vital funds for Aching Arms. Miles in Memory is a great opportunity to get active and be a part of something special. Your help will ensure we can continue to offer comfort and support to bereaved families following the loss of their baby.
Miles in Memory will be back in October 2024.
