Many families find great comfort in donating Aching Arms bears, and for them it's a special way of remembering their baby at Christmas. So, every Christmas we invite you to dedicate a bear in memory of a baby special to you.
Each soft and cuddly Aching Arms bear wears a personalised label that is lovingly handwritten with the name of the baby in whose memory the bear was dedicated. The label also connects families to sources of information, support and understanding. The bear you donate will be gifted to another bereaved family which extends the arm of friendship and helps other bereaved parents to know they are not alone.
When donating a bear for Christmas, our supporters have the option of their baby’s name being added to a star on our beautiful ‘Starlights’ graphic, along with other precious babies being remembered, which will be shared across our social media pages throughout November and December, culminating with a montage on Christmas Eve.
You can see our Christmas eve montage here.
Donate a Bear for Christmas will return in 2026
This Christmas, we will help bereaved families to feel less alone. Whether it’s the first Christmas without their baby or the 20th, we are here to offer comfort and support, and hold their hand. To do this, we rely on voluntary donations and the wonderful warmth and generosity of our amazing donors ensures we can continue our vital care-driven work. Your kindness will bring comfort to families when they need it most.
