Double Your Dedication This Valentine’s Day We know how deeply your Aching Arms comfort bear is cherished. Each bear represents a life filled with love, a baby remembered, honoured, and held close in your heart.
This Valentine’s Day, we’re offering a special way to extend that love even further. From Friday, 13th February at 1 pm until Sunday, 15 February at 11.59 pm, when you donate a comfort bear in memory of a baby special to you, we will match your dedication, up to a total of 10 bears. (Donate one bear, and two bears will be dedicated.)
The soft and comforting bear in your baby’s name will be gifted to another family following the loss of their baby – in pregnancy, at birth, or shortly afterwards.
Your baby will be remembered and your act of love and kindness will bring comfort.
A huge thank you to the families who continue to support Aching Arms and our vital bereavement care work. We couldn’t do it without you
"When our first son Jack died in 1994, aged 5 weeks, we came home from the hospital with nothing but our memories. My arms ached to hold my baby. How I wish Aching Arms Bears had been about then - I would have loved the comfort of a bear to cuddle. Luckily, when I learnt of their existence I was able to request a bear even after many years had passed. He brings me great comfort sitting by my pillow. We have donated several bears in Jack's memory because when you lose a child there is nothing to do but honour their memory in any way you can that feels meaningful. Knowing that a bear will bring comfort at the very worst of times, is in my eyes a wonderful way to keep Jack's memory alive xx"

Why a Bear?
Each bear offers tangible comfort when they fill the arms of a fellow bereaved parent and creates an immediate link to a community full of compassion and understanding.
Our bears wear a label that is lovingly handwritten with the name and special date of the baby/babies being remembered.
The label also carries information that offers parents options of support from the Aching Arms Bereavement Care Team as a place to start. We understand how crucial it is for parents to feel supported from the very beginning of their loss to help with their grief and healing journey forward.
Donate a bear and double your dedication here this Valentine's Day.
"Our Bear has been a great comfort to us, although it breaks our hearts that another family has suffered this loss it’s so comforting to have something to hold on the hard days not just for us but our other children also. Forever grateful for that. "
