Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place from 9th to 15th October, and culminates in the Wave of Light.
We have some events planned for the week and different ways you can get involved to help raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is an annual awareness week that is observed between 9th - 15th October. Many bereaved families choose to remember their much loved and missed babies during this week and in particular light a candle to mark the Global Wave of Light on 15th October.

Aching Arms welcomes the Government’s decision to extend protected bereavement leave to parents facing pregnancy loss before 24 weeks. Coming into effect in 2027, this vital change acknowledges early loss in law and promotes compassion and equality in the workplace.
